    Varian, Inc. Reports Third Quarter 2007 Results
    Palo Alto, CA, 25 July 2007: Varian, Inc. (Nasdaq: VARI) today reported that revenues for the third quarter of fiscal year 2007 increased 8.3% from the third quarter of fiscal year 2006. The increase was driven by solid growth in sales of Scientific Instruments products for industrial applications. Demand was strong within Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America, and while still soft, North America showed sequential improvement. Revenues were $227.1 million in the third quarter of fiscal year 2007, compared to $209.7 million in the third quarter of fiscal year 2006.

    AMSC Receives New $70 Million Order from China's Sinovel Wind

    AMSC Announces Pricing of Public Offering of Common Stock
    Westborough, MA, 20 July 2007: American Superconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: AMSC) today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 4,700,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $21.25 per share, before underwriting discounts and commissions. AMSC also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 705,000 shares of common stock. All of the shares are being offered by AMSC.
